Attorney Connie Isais

Attorney Connie Y. Isais received her Bachelor of Arts
degree in Political Science from California State University,
Los Angeles. She received her law degree from Washington
University in St. Louis, Missouri. Attorney Isais interned for
the National Immigration Law Center in Los Angeles,
California and for the Immigration Project in Granite City,
Illinois. She is a member of the State Bar of California and
is admitted to practice before the United States District
Courts for the Central, Southern and Eastern Districts
of California and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is
a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association
as well as the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s
Immigration Section. Having worked for one of Los Angeles’ largest Immigration firms
for almost 4 years, Connie is experienced in all areas of immigration law including
working visas, family based immigration, employment based immigration, asylum,
deportation defense and naturalization.

At her previous employer, Mrs. Isais handled the firm’s complex naturalization cases
and served as the firm’s liaison to the Los Angeles District Naturalization Office. She
has successfully represented clients before the Executive Office for Immigration Review
in Los Angeles, El Centro, San Diego, San Pedro, Lancaster, Seattle and Dallas. She
has also successfully represented clients before the United States District Courts of
California as well as the Board of Immigration Review and the Ninth Circuit Court of
Appeals. Additionally, Attorney Isais has represented clients before the Bureau of
Citizenship and Immigration Services, formerly known as the Immigration and
Naturalization Service, in Los Angeles, San Diego, Anaheim, San Bernadino, Hartford,
Des Moines, Honolulu and the United States Embassies in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, and
Cuidad Juarez, Mexico.

The daughter of an immigrant herself, she understands the dilemma of new immigrants
in the United States.  Her mother, a native of Taiwan, immigrated to the United States
when she married her father, a serviceman in the United States Navy who retired in
1992 as Master Chief after 30 years of service.   As an Asian-American, Attorney Isais
saw the difficulties encountered by both her mother and their friends in adjusting to a
new country.  These experiences made her decision to specialize in immigration law an
easy one.
